Kilner Fermentation Lid

The Kilner® Silicone Fermentation Lid & Air Lock Set has been specially designed to be used with a 3 litre Kilner® Jar. The lid is made from premium silicone and combines an air lock which creates an anaerobic atmosphere – perfect for fermenting foods such as sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi.

The air lock works by allowing gases to be released during the fermentation process, but does not allow air to enter the jar. Air entering the jar from outside can cause the food to spoil.
